Manuel J. Castañeda serves as the Vice President of Operations at New Brunswick Tomorrow. Since joining NBT in 2015, Manuel has been instrumental in strengthening the organization’s operational and programmatic impact. As Vice President of Operations, he oversees internal systems, supports staff development, and ensures that NBT’s initiatives are aligned with its mission to improve the quality of life for all New Brunswick residents.

One of Manuel’s key responsibilities is leading the Healthier New Brunswick initiative—a collaborative, citywide effort that brings together residents, volunteers, and stakeholders to address health disparities and promote wellness. Through strategic planning, coalition-building, and community engagement, Manuel works to ensure that every resident has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

Manuel Castaneda is a proud lifelong resident of New Brunswick whose personal and professional journey is deeply intertwined with the city’s growth and transformation. Raised in New Brunswick, Manuel’s commitment to the community began early and has remained a driving force throughout his career.
